How to reach: On Pune Solapur road, after toll road ends, after Kedgaon look for Warvand village. A small road takes you right till reservoir. The road is extremly in bad condition and you may have to park road few meteres before the reservoir.
Best Time to visit: Early morning November-January

About: Warvand is a small village and the reservoir is known birding place. It said that you can see Purple Moorhens, Pheasant-tailed Jaçanas, Brahminy Kite, Indian Great Reed Warbler, Cotton Teal, Cormorants, Open-Bill Stork, heron/egret species and variety of ducks

We started at about 6.30 AM. After hearty breakfast and some great snaps on the way we reached Warvand/Varwand by 8/8.30. We parked our car when we no longer could drive in some in small building that looked like a school. A few minutes walk lead to reservoir. There were less nomber of birds as compared to Kavdi but it was worth visit.
