History: Chikhaldara was discovered by Captain Robinson of the Hyderabad Regiment in 1823. Per legend, this is the place where Bheema killed the villainous Keechaka then threw him into the valley. It thus came to be known as Keechakadara -- Chikhaldara is its corruption.

Chikhaldara has mainly three forts namely : Gavilgad, Amner and Narnala

Gavilgad : Gavilgad fort is 2.5kms south-east of Chikhaldara. Please click her for more information.

Bhim-Kund:. Bhima killed Kichaka and threw his body in the valley called 'Kichakdara' and had a bath in the nearby lake, which is then renowned as Bhim-Kund. Situated on the way from Pratwada to Chikhaldara the Bhim-Kund the location offers fascinating view of the waterfall and the valley beyond.
Bir Lake: This Lake is built under British government rule in 1890. This lake is built in besalt.

Panchbol Point: The five hills edges are connected naturally forming a huge valley. An echo can be heard five times and hence the name. Beware of the Monkeys, we had run to safety of car when some monkeys cameJ.
On the way there were some nice flowers and was amazed to see huge spider merrily swinging in his web.

Mozari Point: This point is at 2km. distance on the way going from hotel green. There is a permanent Heli-Pad. We can also see Devi Point area and west side of Gawilgarh fort.

Devi Point: This point is nearer to the shakkar lake...

Goraghat Point: Beautiful sunset can be observed from here too and the valley view is awesome.
Sunset-Point: The point is situated on the Vairat hills at Vairat.

Garden: The garden is open for visitors are at morning 8.00am to evening 7.00pm. The speciality is roses and other variety of trees. The mini train is the special attraction of this garden. But this was closed when we visited.

Caught a very beautiful bug on my camera.

There is ctourist information center on the main road.
