After visiting Narlana fort we reached Shegaon in the afternoon. We booked a hotel and I think we made a mistake. After going to Anand Park we realized what awesome facilities they had. The boarding facilities they offered were extremely impressive and very cheap.

Around 4 PM we went to visit Anand Sagar. It’s around 2 Kms away from the city. There a huge parking on the opposite, extremely well managed by the staff.
Built by the Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan, Anand Sagar is a garden project spread over 325 acres of land in Shegaon. Thousands of trees have been planted to make it lush green and the place is operated with minimum amount of charges.

They have huge well managed parking facilities right in front of the park. The donation pass/ticket is available for just Rs25/. The grand entrance welcomes you very warmly.

All the inside pathways are huge cement roads dotted with lamps and beautiful trees. AT the far end is the Ganesh temple.

The gardens are very creative and have huge lawns for children to play around.

It has a huge water reservoir and spread over 55 acres of Land.

There is small walkway constructed to reach one of the islands. On the way is beautiful antique looking bridge of English architecture.

The island has small outlets offering variety juices, milkshakes and scented milk at extremely cheap prices. The view from the island is amazing.

Another artificial Island is created in the center of the Pond. A replica of Swami Vivekanand Center at KanyaKumari is created on the Island. There is meditation center at the top and grand balcony on the top.

It simply looks stunning at the time when sun sets on the left and lights are lit all over.

As sun starte to descends, the lights start litting all over the place. It looks stunning and seems as if beautiful sparkling jewels sprinkled all over...

Don’t miss the musical fountain show at 7pm.

This amazing place shouldn’t be really missed.

After a good night sleep we went early for the breakfast again at Bohjnalaya near AnandPark. Had yummy Idlis, Poha and Khichadi and wonderful Avala and Kokan shorbet. With heavy stomach and heart we left for next destination- Balapur Fort.
