How to visit: Naryangaon is around 85 Kms from Pune and Junnar is 15 kms ahead. From Junnar you have to take straight road for Aaptale, crossing Shivaji statue and leaving behind the vast Shivneri fort on the left. Aaptale should be around 20 kms from Junnar. Leave the turn for Chavand fort on the right and continue 3-4 kms further for village Pur. Ideally should be clubbed with Chavand fort.

The state department of archaeology is completing the extensive restoration and reconstruction of the Kukdeshwar temple in Pur village, about 30 km west of Junnar.
This 12th century Shiva temple built in `hemadpanti' style of architecture has beautiful carvings on the outer wall. The temple has river Kukdi flowing on its northern side.
